Are you lacking passion?

I was reminded in church this past Sunday…”Vision is seeing something in the future that creates such a passion in you that you are called to act! There is no way anyone can talk you out of it because you have that clear vision of what is ahead and you make a plan to achieve it!  Without a plan once vision is had, that vision is really just day dreaming…” Pastor Joe Pullen – paraphrased. 

I want you use this advice for your life…do you see a healthier you out there? If not, you lack vision and you will not be inspired or have any passion to take action. I encourage you to really look ahead; do you see you with more cardiovascular endurance?  Do you see a slimmer you for the next vacation?  Do you see a more energetic you?  What is your vision for yourself?  If you don’t have one, develop one!

Now…”envision” what you want to change and really get a vision for that; name it…that will give you the passion or internal motivation you need to make the first step, and the second and so on. If you have that vision, nobody and nothing will sway that vision as you are passionate about it. Nobody or nothing can externally motivate you to do anything that you lack vision and passion for either!  If you are waiting for that magic voice inside your head to say, I want to _______ fill in the blank, you lack the vision. You need to get a mental picture of what you can be, and lay out a plan to do it. The mind will not follow this plan unless the body takes the physical steps to carry out that plan.

Think of it this way, if the doctor told you that you had cancer – wouldn’t you want to remove it, cut it out and do what you could to get rid of it? Your life is suddenly turned upside down, and nobody can get in the way of your desire, vision and passion to remove the cancer from you.  Why not look at that barrier or that health risk as something like cancer that you want to get rid of, change your diet for, and change your life for?
