Video Blog: Office Workout for February

Feel like you need to move more at work? Want some fun exercises that you can do at your desk? Want to work some fitness into your day? Want to burn more calories than those you merely burn breathing?

Well…join the Associate Wellness Committee as we show you a fun new exercise a month that you can do at work in less than a minute! We’ll also give you a few frugal pieces of equipment you can buy and keep at work to add a little bit more to your mini workouts. If you stick with this, and learn one new exercise a month and keep up with it, you’ll have at least 12 new fitness tools you can do

no matter what you are wearing to work! We’ll be traveling around and asking people in different departments and facilities to be part of our quest!

Check out our videos and try the exercises…even in four-inch heels! Challenge your co-workers to get on their feet and jog their metabolism mid-day never leaving your work station.

Here is this month’s exercise…wall push ups!



You can work on your upper body bone density while toning your arms and pecs. If you want to add a fragile twist, use a physioball against the wall and push off the ball! Balls are available at the Agnesian Health Shoppe!

Janelle Baldwin is a physical therapist assistant (PTA) and lead fitness trainer for Agnesian HealthCare’s on-site fitness center, called the ZONE. She is a certified weight trainer (CWT), a strength and conditioning specialist (STS) and a certified strength and conditioning instructor (CSCI). Her 15 years of professional experience ranges from home care and work hardening/conditioning with the Agnesian HealthCare Sports, Spine & Work Center for many years to her role as a certified personal trainer; teaching fitness classes for which she is trained and certified for and maintaining the on-site fitness facility.
